About the role
Potential candidates for this Non Executive Director position will have highly developed commercial acumen and have had experience and knowledge in commercial aspects such as negotiations, contracts, strategic business decision assessments, business partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
In addition to these specialised skills, and like all Directors of the Board, this role also requires a high level general experience and knowledge in governance, strategic and business planning, risk management and business performance.
Candidates will have an interest in the Arts, and, whilst not essential, candidates will ideally have had experience as Non-executive Director and /or experience working with NFP organisations.
Strong preference for candidates with a legal background and qualifications.

The Sydney Fringe’s purpose is to champion the independent cultural sector, placing it at the heart of Sydney.
The Sydney Fringe Festival is the largest independent arts festival in New South Wales with over 450 events presented in over 70 venues across Greater Sydney each year.
Each September culture creators from all over the city join forces with us to share Sydney’s stories presenting new work from all genres. Outside of festival time we activate unused space creating new cultural infrastructure and precincts.
The Sydney Fringe (TSF) is an incorporated Association, registered under and governed by the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (NSW) and the Associations Incorporation Regulation 2010 (NSW). TSF is a registered Charity.
