About the role

Description: DEFEND is seeking a Communications Specialist to manage our public relations efforts in Australia. In this role, you will help raise awareness about our mission and activities through various media channels. You will craft compelling messages and raise awareness about our mission and impact through social media.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Communication Strategies: Create comprehensive communication plans that align with DEFEND’s goals and objectives.
  • Write and Develop Posts and Content: Craft engaging and informative content.

Qualifications:

  • Background in Communications or Marketing: Relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong Writing and Editing Skills: Ability to create clear, compelling, and error-free content.
  • Proficiency in Social Media: Experience managing social media accounts.
  • Creative and Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop innovative communication strategies that effectively promote DEFEND’s mission.
