About the role
Role Overview:
The Treasurer plays a vital role in ensuring the financial health and transparency of the Australian NPC Disease Foundation (ANPDF). Working closely with the President, board members, and our accounting partner, you will oversee the foundation’s financial management, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and contributing to the organisation’s mission to support families affected by Niemann-Pick Disease (NPC).
Key Duties:
- Financial Oversight: Manage and monitor the organisation’s finances, including income, expenses, and budgets.
- Reporting: Present clear, concise financial updates during monthly committee meetings and prepare the annual financial report for the AGM.
- Collaboration: Work with ANPDF’s accounting partner (CSM Advisors) to ensure accurate financial records.
- Compliance: Ensure financial practices align with the foundation’s constitution and relevant regulations.
- Sub-Committee Participation: Contribute to projects or sub-committees based on your interests and expertise.
Skills and Experience Needed:
- Financial Literacy: A background in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, or similar experience.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage financial records accurately and ensure compliance.
- Communication Skills: Capability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Organisational Skills: Strong time management to handle monthly and annual reporting requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Willingness to work closely with a passionate and dedicated team.
