About the role
This is an unpaid volunteer position, and committee meetings are held virtually, on a needs basis, 2- 5 times a year. Each meeting runs for approximately 1 hour.
The successful applicant will:
- Understand professional membership organisations
- Understand the role of a professional formal complaints process
- Have experience on such a committee or have a background in law or human resources
- Seek to remain objective in deliberations about complaints
Members of the Complaints Committee should be familiar with and abide by the ADEA Constitution, By-Laws and Code of conduct. The Committee Terms of Reference are available here.
ADEA is a not-for-profit organisation working with health professionals, government and the public to reduce the prevalence and impact of diabetes both in Australian and overseas.
The ADEA believes in the rights of people with or at risk of diabetes, their carers and their families to timely access to quality diabetes education and care that meets their individual needs and circumstances throughout the continuum of life and the continuum of diabetes.
