About the role
We’re looking for a non-executive director to help shape the vision and governance of The Reframe Foundation.
You’ll bring insight, integrity, and care to early-stage decision-making, and support the Executive Director (founder) with strategic oversight, occasional approvals, and feedback as needed. You won’t be expected to handle day-to-day operations, but a willingness to lean in thoughtfully, read documents, and stay in touch is vital.
This is an unpaid voluntary board role, suited to someone who believes in structural change, understands the impact of invisible abuse, and wants to co-create something meaningful from the ground up.
Prior governance experience is welcomed but not required. We’re more interested in your character, values, and capacity to contribute with clarity and consistency.
About the organisation
The Reframe Foundation is a newly forming Australian nonprofit that uses survivor-created art to fund tools, books, and creative technologies that make coercive control and manipulation visible, and survivable.
Our mission is to empower children, survivors, and the broader community to recognise abuse that hides behind charm, silence, or confusion.
We focus on education, prevention, and practical tools, including children’s books, digital escape aids, and emotionally intelligent awareness campaigns.
We are currently in Phase 1: collecting survivor art and preparing our first story-based projects. The founder is a registered nurse, paramedic, and survivor with a deep commitment to respectful governance and lasting impact.
