About the role
Peel ArtsConnect is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to serve as Secretary of the Board. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and written communication skills, with experience in governance and recordkeeping—ideally within the nonprofit, arts, community, or business sectors. This role is central to ensuring the board operates smoothly and transparently, with responsibilities including maintaining accurate meeting records, coordinating agendas and schedules, and supporting compliance with legal and constitutional requirements. The Secretary will also facilitate internal communication, manage official documentation, and assist with onboarding and governance activities. A commitment to creativity, inclusion, and community connection is essential, as is the ability to contribute to a respectful and collaborative board culture that reflects the values of Peel ArtsConnect.
