About the role
As a growing organisation committed to accountability and transparency, we are currently seeking the voluntary support of an experienced accountant with expertise in the not-for-profit sector. We are fortunate to be the custodians of two ACNC- and DGR-registered charities: LMA Inc. (Lifestyle Markets Australia) and KoH (Kinds of Happiness).
We would be deeply grateful if your organisation could assist us in connecting with a qualified professional accountant — ideally someone with experience in Public Benevolent Institutions (PBI) and Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR Item 1) structures — who may be willing to generously contribute their time and knowledge in a voluntary capacity. The ideal candidate would help oversee and advise on our accounting function, ensuring our financial practices align with sector-leading standards and the regulatory requirements of the ACNC and ATO.
This opportunity would be particularly meaningful for professionals seeking to use their skills to directly support grassroots, community-driven initiatives. We truly believe that strong financial governance is the foundation of impactful, sustainable service — and with the support of experienced allies like you, we can continue to build that foundation with integrity.
About the organisation
Lifestyle Markets Australia Inc. (LMA) is a not-for-profit organisation which organises and operates fundraising markets and events throughout VIC and NSW, with an active intention to expand into other States over the next 2–5 years.
Our fundraising efforts are focused on supporting youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. We have proudly delivered markets and events across many regional and Melbourne metropolitan areas, including Echuca, Shepparton, Swan Hill, Wycheproof, Griffith, Wagga Wagga, Melbourne Docklands, and Langwarrin — just to name a few.
Our organisation currently operates with between 30 to 50 volunteers who help keep the cogs turning behind the scenes — including roles in IT, Finance, Graphic Design, Social Media, Event Operations, Branding, and People & Culture. They are located across the Eastern board of Australia, including QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, TAS and SA. We have previously engaged volunteers in WA as well, and are in the process of developing an engagement program to better manage the time difference and foster stronger connection with our WA-based team.
