Time required : Board meetings: approximately five meetings per year, each around three hours long, plus an estimated three hours of preparation and other times per meeting. • Committee meetings (if appointed): approximately four quarterly meetings per year, each around 45 minutes, plus an estimated one hour of preparation per meeting. • Additional time may be required for ad hoc matters, stakeholder engagement, and professional development as agreed with the Board.

About the role
ICMEC Australia is an independent not-for-profit organisation working to create a world where technology cannot be used to harm children, starting here in Australia.
We’re seeking Non-Executive Directors to join our Board and help guide the organisation’s strategy, risk, and performance in line with our mission: to strengthen the professionals working to detect, disrupt and prevent child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA).
As a Board Director, you will:
- Provide independent governance, oversight and stewardship
- Contribute expertise, constructive challenge and strategic guidance
- Support the CEO and Executive Team
- Serve on committees where required
- Act as an ambassador for ICMEC Australia’s mission
We’re looking for leaders who bring integrity, ethical governance, and a deep commitment to child safety and social impact.

About the organisation
ICMEC Australia serves as a crucial resource in the fight against child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA). We are boldly confronting this issue when most would rather avoid it. Alongside our coalition of partners, we strive to proactively combat and prevent its occurrence.
Our mission is clear: to support and strengthen the professionals who detect, report, prosecute, and prevent CSEA. As an independent not-for-profit organisation, we collaborate with various stakeholders, such as financial services and corporate entities, law enforcement, policymakers, academics, and NGOs, to develop strategies to protect children from harm.
