About the role
Mercy Connect Ltd is now seeking experienced Directors, preferably with a legal or accountancy / financial background, who share our commitment to the Mercy Connect Values, Mission and Vision.
Mercy Connect is a local not-for-profit disability service provider that supports people in need to live fulfilled lives across Albury-Wodonga and Central Western NSW regions.
We provide a range of services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for people with a disability. As a work of the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea (ISMAPNG), our programs support the participants we serve to build skills and capability to ensure they live a connected and meaningful life.
Our Board, Executive Team and Staff have a strong passion for our community, our participants, family / guardians, with staff safety and wellbeing being paramount.
The successful Director will be appointed by the Board for an initial term of three years and be required to attend approximately ten meetings each calendar year
To be a successful candidate, you will have proven knowledge and experience of the regulatory and compliance requirements of Board and Committee roles and structures, and ideally hold a current membership (or graduate status) with the Australian Institute of Company Directors (or, if not, a willingness to obtain same).
