This is a superb opportunity to take a leadership role in this highly regarded not-for-profit. A cornerstone of the local Boroondara community, Samarinda Ashburton Aged Services (SAAS) brings together a growing range of valuable community outreach programs and exceptional residential aged care services.

Reporting to a capable and supportive CEO, you will play a key role in developing and managing SAAS’s Community Services Program (CSP), building on its respected brand, strong community connections and well-positioned demographic location. Current community programs and partnerships with other community service providers will provide a good base from which to grow.

Accountable for all operational management of SAAS CSP you will manage effective and safe programs, ensuring service provision is in line with HACC and the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) requirements, and meets the Community Care Common Standards. You will provide ongoing recruitment and development opportunities for staff and volunteers within the CSP, constantly seeking continuous improvement opportunities, and be responsible for supervising and managing your direct reports. Ensuring growth and viability of the CSP through business development initiatives, you will develop and build a cost-competitive home care service that meets agreed budget and financial targets.

For this senior opportunity you will need a sound understanding of HACC, CHSP, Home Care Packages and the CDC model, with at least five years’ management experience in these areas, and relevant tertiary qualifications.
