About the service offer
The Enhanced Adult Living Support Services (EACLSS) program is a new service offer designed to work with participants to address key areas that support the participant in identifying and nurturing natural supports that sustain recovery and assist in the development of self-management skills.
About the role
As the Recovery Support Worker, your key duties and responsibilities will be to:
- Provide participants with support with living skills to improve quality of life
- Encourage and promote social inclusion, including increasing participant access to obtain meaningful employment and/or participate in education or training
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively with team members as well as other support services to ensure participants are receiving the support and assistance they require to achieve individual goals and plans
As the ideal candidate, you will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in social science or similar discipline or relevant experience
- Previous experience working within the mental health sector
- A strong understanding of the biopsychosocial model of mental health, and how social inclusions principles are applied to service delivery and recovery
- Comfortable working independently as well as an active team member
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals
- Current valid Driver’s Licence Satisfactory Police Records Check and Working with Children Check
About MI Fellowship
MI Fellowship, or Wellways as we are now known, works with people with mental illness, their families and friends to improve their wellbeing. We work to achieve mental health reform through education, support and advocacy and provide a range of innovative rehabilitation programs. We currently employ over 350 staff and work across multiple sites within Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT on a range of innovative education, support, advocacy and rehabilitation programs.
