About the opportunity

As a Foster Care Case Manager, you will provide high quality support and casework to children and ensure they are safe within the foster care program. You will work with, and support volunteer carers and their families as well as the children who are unable to live at home with their families using a therapeutic approach and the Looking After Children case management framework.

What’s on offer

In addition to base salary plus superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading and access to the full $15,900 salary packaging benefits.

About you

You are looking to join an organisation that truly supports vulnerable Victorians and Tasmanians to improve their lives.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Post-secondary qualifications in Social Work / Welfare or related field, ideal but not essential. 
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and families in the child protection area.
  • The ability to work effectively in a care team situation and the ability to manage complex relationships and interactions.
  • Experience in supporting young people to grow and develop.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with traumatised young people.
  • The ability to maintain accurate and accessible client records and reports
