About the opportunity

Access To Early Learning (AEL) is an early intervention and prevention program, which aims to support the sustained participation of vulnerable 3-year-old children in early childhood education. The program also works to strengthen home learning environments and build the capacity of the service system to support vulnerable families. 

As the Access To Early Learning Coordinator, you will support families to enhance their child’s development through learning experiences within the family home and address any barriers to accessing early childhood education and care services. The role will work collaboratively with educators and other community stakeholders to promote systemic change that supports access for vulnerable children and families in early childhood services.

About you

To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a relevant tertiary qualification in social work, early childhood, psychology or a related discipline.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated experience within the Early Childhood and/or Child Youth and Family Welfare sectors
  • Sound understanding of early childhood development and family/parenting issues
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks including the Best Interests Framework and trauma informed practice
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, developing and managing projects/program initiatives
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other services and professionals
