The McCabe Centre for Law & Cancer is a joint initiative of Cancer Council Victoria, the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and Cancer Council Australia. Its mission is to promote the effective use of law for the prevention and control of cancer and other noncommunicable diseases by building knowledge, expertise, capacity and networks at global, regional and domestic levels.

About your opportunity
We are seeking a Communications and Engagement Manager to join the McCabe Centre for Law & Cancer. Reporting to the McCabe Centre Director, your role is to:
- Drive the development and delivery of the McCabe Centre’s communications and engagement activities
- Manage the promotion of the McCabe Centre and its activities to key stakeholders and audiences, including through communications materials and national and international events
- Craft compelling grant funding applications and pitches to secure and retain funding / or partnerships.
- Support the McCabe Centre team to adapt technical legal materials to enhance accessibility to target audiences, including through webinars, podcasts or other multimedia content
All about you
We are looking for someone with:
- A relevant tertiary degree or qualification in the field of communications, marketing or a related discipline.
- Substantial experience in a similar role in marketing, media or communications.
- Excellent understanding of communications and marketing principles, strategies and techniques.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- High motivation and the ability to work autonomously.
