The Organisation:

Youth Off The Streets is a non-denominational community organisation working for disadvantaged young people who may be homeless, drug dependent and / or recovering from abuse. Youth Off The Streets supports young people as they work to turn their lives around and overcome immense personal trauma such as neglect, physical, psychological and / or emotional abuse.

It is our goal that these young people will leave our care drug free, with a high school education, living skills and a full-time or part-time job in hand.

The Role:

The primary purpose of this position is to produce written reports to deadlines and to industry standards. You will use available data to meet reporting requirements of funded programs and projects. You will contribute to organisational research processes as required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Produce written reports to approved standards
• Consistently meet agreed reporting deadlines
• Monitor data collection for funded projects in consultation with front-line managers and staff
• Research and analyse statistics and youth sector information as directed

Essential Requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Post-school qualification in Social or Community Welfare, Social Justice, Communication / Information management or a related field
• Professional or volunteer experience in producing written reports or similar writing to an industry acceptable standard for a variety of audiences
• Effective and efficient communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating confidence in engaging managers and staff
• Demonstrate through personal behaviour approved standards of professionalism
• Understanding of confidentiality in relation to client privacy and data management and storage
• Complete probity checks including Police, Working With Children and Reference Checks
• Proficient computer and Word processing skills

Desirable Requirements include, but are not limited to:

• Current driver’s license
• Willingness to learn new skills or up-skill if required by the role
