The UTS Faculty of Law and UTS Advancement have developed a hub and spoke model to closely align the Faculty’s external relations initiatives with the goals of UTS: Advancement. They are now recruiting a part time Advancement Coordinator to join the UTS: Advancement staff embedded in the Faculty of Law; right in time to celebrate the impending 40th anniversary.

Within the Faculty of Law, Advancement has the following strategic objectives:

Develop connections that build alumni as advocates for the Faculty and foster life-long relationships. Align philanthropic programs with our vision and values to build support for the for the Faculty’s priorities.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and the wider community that enhance legal education, student opportunities, and research.

The Advancement Coordinator advances the Faculty of Law’s external engagement activities in alumni relations and philanthropy through administrative support of fundraising activities, events and communications, database management, record keeping and finances.

 

Main duties/responsibilities: 

  • Maintain accurate and useful contact management information, project management details, and donor reporting information within the relevant University systems to support effective management of the partnerships
  • Plan and execute external engagement events, including the annual Law Awards Ceremony, alumni events, and donor relations functions.
  • Liaise with the Student Centre and the Scholarships Office on the identification of prize and scholarship recipients
  • Communicate with donors and award recipients on attendance at events and the scheduling of meetings
  • Administer membership within the UTS Law Alumni LinkedIn Network
  • Maintain web pages of UTS:Law alumni, industry partnerships and the Law Advisory Board Main skills/experience required:
  • Database management and customer relationship management (CRM) systems (highly desirable)
  • Administrative work experience in a university setting or legal profession environment (highly desirable)
  • Experience working in roles in alumni relations, fundraising, or student services (desirable)
  • Website, newsletter and social media content development (desirable)
  • An understanding of the principles of relationship management, particularly within the context of alumni relations and fundraising

 

Remuneration & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $76,509 to $82,839 pa (HEW 6)

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary. Employee benefits include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.

This appointment will be on a continuing part-time basis. This role will be 21 hours per week (flexibility on days can be discussed with the manager)
