About the role
Volunteer Mentors will be matched with participants of refugee background aged between 13 -21 based on their skills and shared interests. The Mentor meets with their Mentee on an ongoing basis, developing a relationship that supports and encourages the participant’s transition and settlement into community. Volunteers are needed in city of Moonee Valley, City of Yarra & western suburbs of Melbourne.
Volunteers commit to a 12-month period, in order to allow time to build a strong relationship. We provide Mentors with training and support. Mentors have access to with culturally sensitive training and regular ongoing support.
