About the role
The Management group at King & Wood Mallesons is seeking to appoint a new team member to lead the national Pro Bono & Community team.
The role will ideally be based in Sydney, though applicants located in other locations will be considered.

About the role:
In this role, you will support the firm’s ongoing commitment to pro bono and community work. Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, Australia and working closely with the Chair, KWM in the Community Board, this opportunity represents a chance to further develop the KWM in the Community program and promote and strengthen the firm’s commitment to the community.
Key accountabilities include:
- Overseeing the implementation of pro bono & community strategy and other initiatives
- Developing and maintaining strategic Community Partner relationships
- Coordinate pro bono legal support, advice and representation to needy individuals and community organisations
- Increase awareness, profile and reputation of the community organisations supported by King & Wood Mallesons
- Supervise the national pro bono & community team
Skills and Abilities
- Legally qualified with at least 6 years of legal experience
- Volunteer /non-profit/association management experience
- Strong passion and/or experience in social justice/ advocacy/ pro bono/ community outreach
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication
