We are now looking for a skilled and passionate person to join our team. The Supporter Relations Manager is responsible for overseeing supporter engagement. Managing and working within a small team, this is a pivotal role in engaging and retaining supporters – people who want to change the world for the better. An understanding of digital and traditional channels, centred on the supporter’s journey, will help build an inclusive atmosphere where the work of Asian Aid’s becomes a supporter’s topic of conversation.
This is a dynamic role: you will use data to form insights one day and you will utilise different media channels to reach supporter engagement targets the next, while maximising promotional and fundraising opportunities. The ideal candidate will have experience in conceptualising and implementing initiatives that deliver meaningful supporter experiences and in effective customer/supporter service with a fundraising slant. An understanding of international humanitarian work and the ability to deliver public presentations is desirable.
Essential Criteria
- 3 to 5yrs experience in a supporter / customer relations, in marketing or in a similar role.
- Analytical experience working within a CRM platform.
- Experience in effective team management and leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage external and internal relationships.
- Highly organised and people-oriented.
- A track record of showing an understanding of digital content, social media trends and emerging technologies.
- Experience in face-to-face customer/supporter contexts, such as events, public presentations and the like.
- Able to travel frequently (domestic)
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in the Not for Profit sector (with a competitive advantage for applicants with experience in the international aid sector).
- Track record of achieved fundraising targets.
