About the organisation
Sands was formed almost 40 years ago, for parents to share their stories of pregnancy loss, bereavement and grief management. It was the initiation of a peer-support network that quickly spread as independent community groups, now culminating in a network of state organisations that operate across Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia. Sands Australia is the umbrella group for these grassroots, community-based organisations. This is an exciting time to join Sands Australia as our impact and services are recognised through an increase in government funding and non-government income
