About the role
Expression of interest are sought for one community director for Paramedics Australasia
Expressions of interest are sought from suitably qualified and experienced persons for a three (3) year Community Directorship role with Paramedics Australasia Ltd (PA), the peak professional body for paramedics in Australia and New Zealand.
Paramedics Australasia community director role
The PA Constitution has provision for two community member positions and one of these positions become vacant at the AGM on 23 November 2017. If there is more than one nomination received an election will be held for this position.
Expectations of a PA Community Director
The Community Director is required to represent the views and opinions of members of the wider community in relation to paramedicines and paramedic services in Australia and New Zealand. The Community Director should possess qualifications and/or experience rendering themselves suitable for appointment. A Community Director of PA must not at any time have been a paramedic or have a direct professional involvement with the clinical practice of paramedicine.
Commitment of a PA Community Director
This directorship is not paid, however travel and other expenses incurred with attending face-to-face meetings (approx. 3 a year) are reimbursed and attendance and associated costs in attending the annual conference. In addition, your contribution and skills will be greatly appreciated and respected. Expressions of Interest Directorship of PA enables suitable individuals to undertake a significant role in supporting and influencing paramedics, Australia’s most trusted profession.
