Impact Investing: Do’s and Don’ts

Alastair McGibbon CEO, SEFA Alastair spent the last 10 years at National Australia Bank where he held the position of Head of Banks and ADIs in the Financial Institutions Group.  He had oversight for managing all of NAB’s relationships and transactions with bank and ADI counterparties including debt markets, securitisation, financial markets and transactional banking with responsibility for the credit exposure for all counterparty dealing.   Sally McCutchan CEO, Impact Investing Sally has led Impact Investing Australia as Executive Director and CEO since April 2017. She has extensive experience in finance, funds management and strategy, and has spent many years working in and understanding Asia Pacific markets. Her experiences in both the domestic and Asian contexts have compelled Sally to be more actively involved in trying to affect better social outcomes.   Katherine Leong Impact Investing Consultant, National Australia Bank Katherine drives Impact Investment at NAB.  Her responsibilities include strategy development and coordination of Impact Investment initiatives within NAB and support to grow the Australian Impact Investment market and eco-system.  One of the key activities has been establishing the Impact investment Readiness Fund (IIRF) which provides capacity building grants to Investable Social Enterprises.  Prior to joining NAB, she worked for KPMG (Melbourne), EY (London) and other large multinational corporations specialising first in SMEs then Corporate Finance.     Facilitated by: Lydia Hascott is a social innovation consultant working with capacity-building organisations to foster the growth of impactful people and enterprises.
