The Education First Youth Foyers (EFYF) are an innovative, program to help young people experiencing homelessness build sustainable lives by providing and combining affordable accommodation, education, training and employment. Youth Foyers help break the cycle of homelessness, create opportunities, and help young people lead independent and fulfilling lives.

This role focuses on working with young people to transition to Private Rental from the Education First Youth Foyer at Holmesglen TAFE. This will be achieved through working with students and their workers, building relationships with real estate and other service providers while building independent living skills with young people.

We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and outgoing, skilled worker to join our team. Previous experience working with young people in a residential or outreach setting would be an asset in this role.As this role will also focus on the young person’s current tenancy with Launch Housing, applicants who have experience with rental software (Chintaro), VCAT processes and the Residential Tenancies Act are highly encouraged to apply.
