Our Watch is a national, independent not for profit organisation established in 2013 to drive nationwide change in the culture, behaviours and attitudes that lead to violence against women and their children. Our vision is an Australia where women and their children live free from all forms of violence. Our mandate is to stop violence before it happens, and our purpose is to provide national leadership to prevent all forms of violence against women and their children. Our work is based on sound research and strong and diverse partnerships.

About the role

About the role:
This is an opportunity to work with a talented and committed Practice Leadership team responsible for building models of good practice prevention, and implementing strategies for supporting country-wide emerging prevention workforce and systems. Reporting to the Director, Practice Leadership, this role will provide leadership and management of the practice systems team. This team manages a portfolio of initiatives in education, workplace, sport, and other sectors with the ultimate goal of increased quality prevention practice across Australia. This position will oversee the implementation of the operational plan with a focus on systems integration, scale up and sustainability.

Our Watch is open to job share and flexible working arrangements. We would also support a secondment arrangement and the opportunity for knowledge and skills exchange this provides with other organisations.
The role is for a fixed term until June 2019, with a view to extend beyond this date based on funding.

About you:
We are looking for someone with:
• Significant experience leading prevention of violence against women practice.
• Demonstrated ability to lead program development and implementation
• Experience managing and developing staff.
• Highly developed project management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative cross-organisation team.
