The Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) is the national peak body representing health care professionals in diabetes education, management and care. We are also the regulatory body for Credentialled Diabetes Educators (CDEs).

The ADEA leads and advocates for best practice in diabetes education and care nationally. We are a national association with our administration office in Canberra. As a member organisation we provide leadership and support for health care professionals who practice within the specialty field of diabetes education and care. About the role

The Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) is seeking an experienced Membership and Credentialling Officer to join the National office team in Canberra to drive membership services for new and existing members.

Are you customer service focused, with an excellent telephone manner and able to communicate effectively to a range of audiences? Are you able to analyse and interpret membership data and produce reports that tell a story? Can you work autonomously as well as part of a strong dedicated team, with excellent communication and time-management skills? Are you looking for a role with an organisation with a strong culture and where you will be well supported? If you answered yes to all of these, then please read on.

We are looking for someone to:

  • To act as the first point of contact for all members and prospective members, taking enquiries via multiple communication channels, providing a high level of customer service, and updating of databases accordingly;
  • To manage the membership life-cycle i.e. payments, new member communications, member administration and renewal process;
  • To assist in the creation and development of membership material e.g. letters, new member welcome packs, newsletters and other member communications;
  • Attend events as required to promote ADEA and its membership opportunities;
  • Work with other business areas across ADEA to maximise engagement with membership and recruitment strategy; and
  • Assist in the development of the membership recruitment and retention strategies.
