About the role
The Uniting Church in Australia (UCA) is seeking an experienced and qualified Insurance Officer to manage risks, insurance placements and claims. Be involved in a broad Insurance Program that includes liabilities, motor vehicles, personal accidents, DNOs, finance, marine, travel, and many more!
Working alongside the Director Risk and Insurance, in this role you will handle queries and provide expert advice related to the Church’s Insurance Policy. You will develop and monitor risk-management programs and provide action plans to best protect our assets.
For this role you will need to possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to liaise with loss adjustors, brokers and legal advisors. You will need to have excellent communications skills to explain insurance concepts and promote and enhance a culture attuned to risk-management.
Having a great understanding of the insurance policy and the notification and claims processes, this role will liaise with our broker to ensure insurance cover and the best possible outcome when dealing with insurance companies.

About you
To secure this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in general insurance, life insurance, personal injury management, loss adjusting, insurance broking or similar.
- Proven experience in the insurance industry. Broker experience is desirable.
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector is highly desirable.
