Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Director of Children, Youth and Families (CYF) will focus on leading the strategic direction, operational management and future development of the group.  The role will advise the CEO and Board on the strategic direction, driving growth opportunities, service delivery excellence and collaborative working relationships across the community.  As an integral member of the Executive, it will ensure activities are closely aligned with the strategic direction of, and consistent with the mission and values of Churches of Christ in Queensland.

• You will be able to demonstrate that you have led organisational change and driven the operationalisation of strategy to drive growth and service delivery excellence within a human services environment.
• A collaborative leader, you will bring strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to partner and build relationships at all levels both internally and externally, and with those that are geographically dispersed.
• You will have experience building relationships across the broader community, achieving sustainable outcomes through culturally inclusive services. You will have demonstrated success in positively influencing and advocating for change within the industry and government.
• With highly developed financial and risk management capabilities, plus an appreciation of the significant role of clinical governance and relevant Child Protection legislation, you will take responsibility for driving and operationalising strategy, whilst ensuring the CofC way is embodied into all situations and in every location.

Further, this position will fulfil the statutory role of Child Nominee, ensuring Churches of Christ in Queensland meets all provisions of the Child Protection Act 1999.  You will be required to hold or have the ability to acquire a Working with Children (Blue Card); Licensed Care Service (Child Protection); National Personal Insolvency Check; a current Influenza Vaccination and a Current driver’s licence.  Periodic travel inter/intrastate is also a requirement of the role.
