About the role
One of Australia’s foremost theatre companies, Bell Shakespeare has an exciting opportunity for a Development Coordinator to join the team and support our philanthropic and corporate partnerships activity. The Development team looks after Bell Shakespeare’s critical relationships with philanthropic donors, corporate partners and trust and foundations, and is responsible for generating significant income for the Company.
This is an excellent role for a candidate looking to start their career in the performing arts. It requires a driven individual who will ensure all administrative and support tasks are delivered to the team’s highest standards. The role includes donor stewardship and administration, event support and logistics, database management, researching and identifying potential prospective partners and funding bodies, managing and processing existing partnerships benefits including ticketing, and day-to-day administrative tasks to support our stakeholders. As a part of the Development team, this role will also be required to attend Opening Night functions, corporate and donor hospitality events, cultivation dinners, and the annual fundraising Gala. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

The role would suit someone who thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment, with the ability to juggle multiple events and projects at any one time. You will be an exceptionally organised, detail-oriented self-starter who is personable, warm, collaborative, creative, enjoys working with spreadsheets and data, and will contribute to a positive team culture.
