About the organisation
The Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture Inc. (also known as Foundation House) provides services to advance the health, wellbeing and human rights of people of refugee backgrounds in Victoria who have experienced torture or other traumatic events in their country of origin or while fleeing those countries.
The organisation was established in Melbourne in 1987 and is non-denominational, politically neutral and non-aligned. Foundation House is a state-wide agency offering services in metropolitan, regional and rural areas, with head office based in Brunswick. We have approximately 200 staff with metropolitan regional offices in Dallas, Sunshine, Dandenong and Ringwood.
About the role
Position information
A 12 month fixed term role for a Training and Support Officer is available within our small, friendly and highly productive Information Management team, working the equivalent of four days a week. Reporting to the Information Manager, the Training and Support Officer will have the following key responsibilities:
- Provide support and training for users to ensure they are equipped to effectively enter accurate client data system
- Develop online support and training resources for a new user support site on our intranet.
- Consolidate, update and write internal training resources for the information management team
- Generate, analyse and process regular client data outputs for a variety of reports (including Excel, SQL and/or Tableau)
About you
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- Extensive experience in training and supporting users of client information/medical case management system.
- Strong background in developing online training materials (e.g. video clips, written materials).
- Background in data analysis, data processing and report generation, and a sound familiarity with reporting processes.
- Sound Excel and other software skills.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- A collaborative work style, working effectively with others and able to take responsibility for work outcomes
- An interest in continuing professional development.
A satisfactory police check, and current Working with Children Check will be required of the successful applicant.
This position will require some travel between sites and therefore the successful applicant must hold a current drivers licence.
Salary and Benefits
Remuneration is based on our Enterprise Agreement 2014 of $86,529 gross salary per annum, plus 17.5% leave loading and 9.5% superannuation.
