HANZA is an alliance of interested member organisations that works to influence governments and suitably qualified organisations to offer Homeshare as an option for older people to continue living in, and contributing to, their community and for shared living options to be expanded for other vulnerable groups. HANZA has been operating for 10 years and advocates for and promotes homesharing, supports its members to develop and share homesharing expertise and liaises with the international homeshare movement and programs around the world. www.homeshare.org.au
About the role
About the Role
The incumbent will work with a Board of volunteer directors to help HANZA advance homesharing in the national arena. The initial appointment is for 6 months for 10 hours per week; extension and expansion is based on the incumbent’s ability to raise on-going funds.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordination of membership services
- Co-ordinate the current and potential members delivering homeshare services
- Identify support and training needs for members
- Oversee the collection, analysis and dissemination of research, information, and evidence on homesharing
- Marketing and communications
- Manage the website and social media
- Coordinate the production of the quarterly newsletter and annual report
- Devise innovative ways to promote and market homeshare achievements

- Liaise on behalf of HANZA with Homeshare International
Key Requirements
- Experience in or willingness to work to a voluntary board of directors
- Experience in seeking out and obtaining funding opportunities
- Familiarity with government policy and programs in relation to funding for human and community services – desirable but not essential
- A genuine commitment to the mission of HANZA
- A background in marketing and communications
- Experience sourcing, creating and communicating engaging content across traditional and digital channels
- A wizard in identifying and activating marketing and advocacy opportunities
- Experience working with databases and e-marketing platforms and translating statistics
