About the organisation
Extensive experience in philanthropy, including a proven track record in major and principal gifts is essential, as is your ability to develop and implement strategies for strengthening philanthropic outcomes. You will bring team leadership experience, strong communication skills and the demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including at the executive level. Experience gained in the planning and/or implementation of a significant comprehensive campaign will be highly regarded.
About the role
Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Professor Carolyn Evans, Griffith University is committed to significantly building on its philanthropic income and alumni engagement activity with a view to moving to a comprehensive University-wide campaign in line with its 50th anniversary in 2025.
The University now seeks a new Vice President (Advancement) who, reporting to the Vice Chancellor and as a member of the University Executive, will have strategic responsibility for growing the Advancement office and its activity in readiness for the new campaign. The Vice President will work closely with University leadership and internal academic colleagues to develop and implement alumni engagement and philanthropy strategies to support key priorities and initiatives across the University, driving a more embedded culture of philanthropy and a more ambitious philanthropic agenda across the institution.
