About the organisation
Geelong Christian Media Inc is a medium sized non-profit Christian media organisation based in the city of Geelong. They are the holder of the community broadcasting license, 96three FM, which broadcasts to an area from Winchelsea in the west to Altona and Keilor in the east; from Melton in the North to between Aireys inlet and the Bellarine Peninsula along the coast. Their principal purpose is to promote the values and culture of the Christian community through a variety of media.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will lead and drive the strategic direction and vision of Geelong Christian Media and lead the GCM team in creating a culture and an environment that invests in achieving the vision and mission of GCM, guided by their values. The Board is seeking to
appoint an experienced leader to build on the solid foundation that has been put in place to date and
continue to identify new opportunities to develop and grow the impact and effectiveness of the
organisation.
The CEO will also,
- Have regular communication and maintain a trustworthy, respectful relationship with the Chair
and the Board. - Work in partnership with the Board to develop and achieve the vision for the organisation
- Ensure the development of a highly professional, committed and skilled staff team.
- Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships including strategic partnerships.
- Own and live out the values of GCM by modelling Christ-like care and compassion to internal
stakeholders. - Identify and seek to secure funding through both corporate and individual donors.
- Lead GCM relationships and engagement with peak bodies such as ACMA and CMAA.
The successful candidate will possess exemplary leadership skills including the ability to oversee the
development and implementation of their organisational vision, mission and strategy. We are looking
for a servant leader who is strongly aligned to the values of this Christian organisation, who has the
ability to build excellent ongoing relationships with key stakeholders externally and has proven ability to manage a diverse team and volunteers. The CEO will possess excellent people skills, be strategic, have sound business acumen and project management skills and can demonstrate experience working in partnership with an active Board. Experience in the media sector will be highly desirable. This is a unique role for someone who is looking to use their talent to lead this organisation to continue their ongoing Kingdom work through broadcasting hope and encouragement to their communities.
