About the role

This Secretary Volunteer has the following duties:

  • Dealing with the Association’s Correspondences.
  • Maintaining full and accurate minutes of committee meetings and general meetings.
  • Prepare notices required for meetings and for the business to be conducted at each meeting.
  • Maintaining on behalf of the Association the register of members, and recording in the register any changes in the membership.
  • Ensure the safe custody of the books of the Association.
  • Attend meetings once a month or as required adhoc basis.
  • Assists Directors and CEO as required on clerical tasks.
  • Is a working member of the Management Team.

We’re looking for a Secretary Volunteer to assist with dealing with the Association’s Correspondences, maintaining full and accurate minutes of committee and general meetings and maintaining the Association’s register of members.

**What skills do we look for? **

  • Administration skills.
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Interest in Charity fundraising Events.
  • Integrity and Organisational skills.
  • Great attention to detail to handle instructions to complete multiple ad hoc duties.
  • Computer literacy – Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Office.
  • Plenty of initiative and willingness to help.
  • Wanting to change a life and making a difference.

**What’s the time commitment? ** This volunteer role is for a minimum commitment of 12 months or longer.

Projects include Compassion Kitchen, Compassion Classrooms, Building Compassion Houses, Wheelchairs Distribution, Medical Aid and overseas Philanthropic mission trips to hand deliver gift parcels to remote villages in underdeveloped countries.
