Foodbank Queensland believes that everyone should have access to food.  There are Queenslanders going without every day and Foodbank Queensland is working hard to change that.  Providing food and groceries to more than 350 charities and 300 school breakfast programs each year, Foodbank Queensland is committed to reducing hunger in our communities. 

Foodbank Queensland was founded by Clem Jones AO, Ian Brusasco AO AM and David Muir AM in 1995, with the vision of a Queensland without hunger. Today, we are the state’s largest and most trusted hunger relief charity. Every minute, Foodbank provides a staggering 50 meals. This food supports more than 150,000 Queenslanders in need each week, but sadly, demand still outweighs supply. Foodbank Queensland’s operations address 8 UN Sustainability Goals, diverting large volumes of food from landfill, saving water and harmful emissions.

Foodbank Queensland is seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead them through an exciting growth phase.  We are seeking interest from recognised leaders with demonstrated capacity to deliver outcomes in a values-based organisation.  The highly capable multidisciplinary team and the strong support of your board will ensure you have the environment needed to deliver outcomes for Queenslanders.   

The role requires an exceptional people leader with vision, aligned values, strong stakeholder management skills, ambition, and an ability and willingness to advocate for the work and growth of the organisation.   You will have a broad executive skillset, strong interpersonal skills with a focus on developing culture and a commitment to excellence.  Professional relationship and partnership building skills with a history of building and nurturing ongoing collaboration with government and stakeholders will underpin your approach.
