Our Client, Destiny Rescue is an Internationally recognized, Christian-based, non-profit organisation
dedicated to rescuing children trapped in the sex trade.
Founded and headquartered on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, they exist to rescue kids from sex
trafficking and exploitation and help them stay free. They currently operate various programs in
Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines, Dominican Republic, Uganda, Nepal and 4 undisclosed countries.
Child trafficking is the fastest-growing illegal industry in the world today, generating a massive $150b
per annum.
After doubling in size over the past 3 years, Destiny Rescue is an agile and pioneering organisation, determined to lead the charge to rescue, restore, reintegrate and empower girls to become the next generation of leaders in their communities.
In this key role, you will report directly to the CEO and be responsible all areas of financial
management including budgeting, cash flow management and forecasting, taxation, compliance,
financial planning and analysis and helping develop financial strategies that support the organisations
mission and goals.
You will also,
- Prepare and present financial reports to the CEO and Board providing recommendations as
needed. - Develop and oversee the annual budgeting process and month-end reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial forecasting models that support long-term financial planning
and decision-making. - Work closely with the CEO and Executive team to help develop and implement strategic
plans and goals that support their mission and vision. - Administer company affairs per the ASIC and ACNC requirements and fulfill the duties as the
organisations Company secretary. - Develop and maintain systems to provide up to date and accurate financial information.
The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified with tertiary qualifications in commerce/ or
accounting, has a track record of genuine achievement in a senior finance management role in a not- for-profit organisation where you have lead change and improved business processes and can be counted on as a trusted advisor.
We are seeking an astute finance leader who will provide exemplary financial leadership and skill, be outcomes-focused, has excellent verbal and written skills and is a servant leader who is passionate about the cause and aligned with their organisational values.
Your understanding of current accounting standards and tax regulations as they relate to not-for-profits
and experience seeking DFAT accreditation will be highly regarded. The successful candidate will be strongly aligned to the values of this Christian not-for-profit organisation and be looking for a role where you can use your exceptional financial acumen to make a lasting difference by helping to free children from slavery.
