About the role
TREASURER
Volunteer Board Member
Would you like to contribute your financial skills to making an impact in local communities and the Australian arts and cultural sector through the creation of extraordinary arts experiences?
We are looking for an energetic Board Director who will fill the role of Treasurer and Chair of the Finance and Risk Management Committee.
The Treasurer will work closely with Utp management to oversee and advise on the financial reports ahead of presentation to the Finance and Risk Management (FaRM) Committee and the Board.
- The board meets up to 5 times per year. Meetings are held on Thursday evenings, generally 2 hours in duration. Attendance is by teleconference (phone/video).
- The FaRM Committee meets 4 times per year, on Thursday afternoons, generally 1 hour duration.
Essential experience:
- Qualifications or equivalent experience accounting, finance or business management
- Strategic experience in budgets, especially for projects
Desired experience:
- Managing finances for small to medium NFP organisations
- Arts sector experience
- Western Sydney experience
- Cultural fit for the communities that we work with/are part of (First Nations, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, LGBTIQA+, disability)
