Job Description
- Patterson street, Ringwood
- Part-time, 3 days a week
- Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child and Family Counsellor to join our team at EACH. You will be providing short to medium-term counselling services to children within the context of their families, focusing on a range of issues, including grief, loss, adjustment issues, life transitions, interpersonal relationship issues, family of origin and trauma. The role involves working collaboratively with clients to identify goals, develop interventions, and review progress regularly. You will also be responsible for conducting risk assessments, developing safety plans, and making referrals as needed.

The Team
Collaborating with other passionate and supportive professionals within a variety of disciplines, include Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Art Therapists, our team is dedicated to giving clients the best possible support and long-term outcomes.
About you
You will have demonstrated experience in providing counselling services, including conducting assessments and interventions. You possess experience in working with vulnerable children and families, as well as cultural issues and the ability to work with interpreters. You are able to demonstrate the ability to prioritise and manage complex caseloads, work safely with minimal supervision, and deliver services in a timely manner. Experience in collaborating within multidisciplinary teams is essential, along with excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including report writing, workshop/conference presentations, liaison, and networking. A strong commitment to quality client service provision, excellence, and innovation in work practices is something you excel in.
Qualifications
You Will Have
• Relevant Tertiary Degree qualification
• Registration with AHPRA, AASW, AFTA or PACFA
• Current working with children’s check.
• Current police check
• Current Victorian drives licence
• Demonstrated ability with Microsoft Office and data input skills on TrakCare or similar client system.
