About the role
For over 70 years we have been making a real difference to people in need through the provision of comprehensive and integrated community services. A division of the Baptist Union of Queensland until 2024, a separate company has now been formed – Baptist Care Queensland – to govern the significant work of Carinity.
As a not-for-profit organisation Baptist Care Queensland provides communities of care, compassion and acceptance. Walking alongside those in need, our purpose is to enrich people’s lives irrespective of their personal circumstances. We aim to follow the example of Jesus Christ by reflecting God’s love to people in need. We strive to achieve this by providing high-quality care and making a positive difference to people in need.
We now seek expressions of interest to join the newly established Baptist Care Queensland Board.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Board Director. Successful applicants will have:
- General Board Director Qualifications, Skills & Experience;
- Sector Specific Board Director Qualifications, Skills & Experience (especially in Aged Care, Community Services and/or Education);
- A deep understanding of the mission, vision, purpose and values of Carinity; and
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
