Reporting to the Philanthropy Executive, and part of the Philanthropic Partnerships team  within the Fundraising and Resource Growth Section, the Key Relationships Manager will be responsible for growing major gifts fundraising revenue through exceptional and proactive relationship management of Oxfam Australia’s key supporters (Major Donors) and key supporter prospects based predominantly in NSW and ACT and other states as needed.  

The role requires the development and implementation of personalised cultivation and  solicitation strategies to engage major donor prospects and retain and upgrade existing key supporters. The incumbent will make a substantial contribution to securing Oxfam  Australia’s income and growth targets, enabling the organisation to advance our shared  purpose of achieving a just and sustainable world without poverty.  

 

About YOU 

  • Demonstrated experience in major gift fundraising, with success building strong and  long-lasting relationships, 
  • Proven track record achieving ambitious financial targets and securing gifts or grants  of $50,000+ from HNWI and trusts and foundations, 
  • Knowledge of a range of relationship development techniques, as well as strong  negotiating, influencing and active listening skills, along with extensive experience  engaging organisational stakeholders in the donor cultivation and solicitation process, 
  • Solid computer literacy, especially MS Office and emails; CRMs literacy is desirable, Superb oral and written communication, presentation and promotion skills to a wide  range of audiences, 
  • High attention to detail, working accountably under own initiative to strict deadlines  and managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, 
  • You have a strong customer and goal focus, a high degree of emotional intelligence  and humility, a growth mindset, can-do attitude, flexible approach to your work, a  sensitivity to cultural differences, gender issues and equal opportunities, as well as a  willingness to learn about diversity for all aspects of development work,
  •  Committed to Oxfam’s purpose, culture, ways of working and safeguarding policies.
