About the role

Empowered Together is a non-for-profit organisation that works towards the peer led primary prevention of sexual violence. Our vision is a world where sexual integrity is respected, sexual violence is taken seriously and those who have experienced sexual violence receive the support they need to heal.

We are youth run and seek to engage this generation to lead the change. Our two main operations include running workshops on consent and sexual violence in secondary schools and engaging the wider community through our online platforms.  Duties

  • Work with our Executive Team to prepare financial documents such as annual financial reports and budgets
  • Maintain the financial integrity, transparency and accountability of the organisation
  • Accurately and promptly invoice schools and ensure reimbursement to facilitators
  • Contribute as an Executive Member by attending Executive Meetings, engaging in organisational strategy and attending networking events
  • Act as Treasurer during Annual General Meetings and present annual finance report
  • Identify and apply for grants, sponsorship opportunities and other financial growth outlets
  • Provide recommendations on pricing and budgeting

Skills Required We are looking for someone who:

  • Is deeply passionate about the primary prevention of sexual violence
  • Interest in the financial element of non-profits
  • Has financial and accounting knowledge either through studies or work experience
  • Is independent and diligent in their work
  • Works well in a team and is also comfortable in a leadership role
  • Has a strong attention to detail and is well organised

Time Commitment 4-6 hours a week, flexible as most work is done in your own time.  The successful applicant will be expected to commit to the role for a minimum of a year.
