About the organisation
The Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association (PMSA) is a joint mission of the Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod, and the Presbyterian Church of Queensland. Established in 1918, the PMSA owns and governs four distinguished Queensland schools: Brisbane Boys’ College, Clayfield College, Somerville House, and Sunshine Coast Grammar School.
About the role
Expression of Interest – PMSA COMMITTEE MEMBERS
The PMSA Board invites expressions of interest from experienced and values-driven professionals to serve as volunteer members on it’s Board Committees. These committees play a vital role in overseeing and guiding the PMSA’s governance and strategy whilst ensuring alignment with our Christian mission, vision, and values.
Committee Opportunities:
We are inviting candidates with expertise in the following areas:
- Human Resources
- Finance & Auditing
- Risk, Child Safeguarding & Assurance
- Christian Education
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidates will bring:
- Executive or senior leadership experience in a relevant field.
- Strong governance expertise, ideally with board or committee experience.
- An ability to provide strategic oversight and independent advice.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to engage constructively with stakeholders.
- A commitment to Christian values and the PMSA’s mission in education.
As a Christian faith–based organisation, the PMSA committee members will at all times promote, support and be respectful of the primary place of the Christian Faith and ethos within the PMSA and its schools as they fulfill their roles.
A formal governance qualification (e.g. AICD, GIA, or equivalent) will be highly regarded.
