About the role
Expressions of interest are now invited for multiple Non-Executive Director appointments to the CoAct Board. These are paid roles and offer an opportunity to shape the future of an organisation that combines national reach with deeply local impact.
The Board is currently giving immediate priority to candidates who complement their skillset with experience in:
- Finance, Audit and Risk
- Technology, Digital, Data and Cybersecurity
Along with capacity in governance, strategy and policy and appropriate skills and knowledge of fiduciary, risk general directors obligations, CoAct also welcomes applications from individuals with capabilities across its wider board skills requirements, including:
- Industry Knowledge and Experience
- Understanding of Disability in the Workplace
- Employer Relationships
- Stakeholder Relationships
- Marketing and Communications
Applications are encouraged from both experienced directors and those earlier in their governance journey who bring sector-aligned leadership experience and a commitment to social impact. Candidates from diverse backgrounds – including those with lived experience of disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and regional or remote areas – are strongly encouraged to apply. Governance qualifications and membership of AICD and/for GIA is preferred.
Directors are appointed for a three-year term and commit approximately 15–20 days per year, including participation in Board and Committee meetings, strategic planning sessions and CoAct events. Meetings are held in a mix of in-person and online formats, with travel arranged and reimbursed. Directors receive remuneration aligned to sector benchmarks.
Join a Board committed to helping individuals and communities thrive – through work that matters.
