The SES is one of the state’s highest profile volunteer organisations with unrivalled community approval. However, just three years ago the SES volunteering system was in crisis and the subject of an Auditor General’s report. Charlie Moir, the chairman of the SES Volunteer Association, will speak frankly about how his organisation turned it’s ‘volunteer emergency situation’ into an opportunity to create a stronger SES.
A trainer, business consultant and volunteer, Penny York, will address challenges in the sector including:
- Why are you failing to attract the volunteers you need
- Aspects of your organisation that influence recruitment success
- How your organisation can support and not sabotage recruitment efforts

Inspirational speaker Tulsi van de Graaff of Lead Your Own Change will step us through her checklist of self-care strategies she promises will transform your life.
