‘Individuals building thriving communities’ is the theme of this year’s QCOSS State Conference. The conference will be presented in two exciting formats. The first day will comprise plenary sessions and concurrent content, while the second will be presented in a series of masterclasses. A relaxed networking event will be held at the end of day one.
Keynote speaker Jessica Venagas of Community Solutions in the United States will share her experiences working on poverty-related issues including homelessness, unemployment and hospital readmission.
Our round panel of experts, hosted by journalist Jenny Brockie of SBS' Insight program, will explore the safeguards and protections that are in place to ensure the safety of the most highly marginalised members of our community. Members of the audience will be invited to share their perspective.
Concurrent sessions will address homelessness registry week and place-based models for collecting data; ending domestic violence; changing the direction of your organisation and partnering well.
On the second day there will be three masterclasses from which to choose – ending homelessness through systems change; the science of storytelling; or finding alternatives to discriminatory financial practices and debt causing poverty.
Register now to ensure you are a part of this innovative and throught-provoking event.
