Details

As social enterprises continue to grow and mature, there is an increasing need for businesses to access capital and investors – even when they do not fit into the one-size-fits-all box often applied by lending institutions.

Community finance firm, Foresters, has spent almost two decades innovating and adapting financial models to help social enterprises and non-profit organisations to launch new enterprises, leverage existing assets, develop revenue streams and become more sustainable.

This webinar will highlight how to assess your organisation’s needs, develop a sound financial strategy, effectively leverage existing assets, overcome potential barriers, improve governance structures and processes and approach potential financiers.

Who should attend?

  • Finance and Senior managers
  • Social entrepreneurs
  • Board members
  • CEO/General Managers/Directors of smaller not-for-profit organisations

 Darren Boman

Darren has been working in the finance industry for over 15 years. Starting out with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he obtained his chartered accounting qualification, he then moved to their Dubai office to work on delivering process improvement and business re-engineering projects for some of Dubai’s larger businesses.

After a long stint as the CFO of a U.A.E. based bank, Darren returned to Australia to work for Suncorp for a number of years before leaving to start his own businesses. Wanting to leverage his business and strategy skills for social good, Darren decided to re-enter the finance industry to assist local communities and social enterprises meet their vision.
