About the organisation
About the role
Eating Disorders Victoria is the primary source of support, information, community education and advocacy for people affected by eating disorders and their families in Victoria. Each year, we connect thousands of people affected by eating disorders with the people, services and hope they need for recovery. EDV utilises skilled volunteers across all aspects of the organisation, and recognises the unique and valuable contributions of this workforce. The inclusion of volunteers with a lived experience of mental illness is integral to providing valued and effective peer support services.
The Volunteer Programs Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and administering volunteer activities, which includes all aspects of recruitment, selection, administration, systems, procedures, engagement and operational requirements for a team of over 60 volunteers across a number of programs. Reporting to the Client Services Manager, the Volunteer Programs Coordinator also has a leadership role in developing the culture of the volunteer workforce and ensuring this is consistent with the organisation’s mission, vision and values.
To excel in this role, you will have well-developed skills in volunteer management, recruitment, program evaluation and data collection/analysis. A keen eye for detail and an innovative approach to enhancing existing programs and services are also vital for success. This busy and exciting role would suit someone with a sound understanding of the Victorian mental health system who enjoys liaising with volunteers, clients and colleagues from all areas of the organisation.
This role is currently offered as 0.8 EFT (4-5 days per week, to be negotiated with the successful applicant).
