As the veski operations & events officer you will work at the forefront of innovation in Victoria as part of a close knit team focused on increasing research and development capability through an enhanced fellowship and activations scheme. Coordinating the delivery of key events to enhance networking opportunities across the veski connected innovation community and broader Victorian innovation system. Your role is pivotal to the success of veski’s operations which underpin a suite of proactive, innovative programs, partnerships and skills training and education opportunities tailored to support the community’s needs, forming part of Victoria’s thriving science and innovation communities.

The Role
The veski operations & events officer is required to effectively coordinate the operational functions of veski; as well as plan, coordinate and deliver key veski events and other pilot projects as identified, from time to time.

It is a critical position reporting directly to the veski chief executive officer.

You will be highly motivated, extremely well organised and have a high level of attention to detail. You will also be innovative and comfortable working collaboratively or autonomously as required.

Key responsibilities include:
 Independently coordinate the efficient and effective administrative operations of veski, including participating in planning and decision making related to all veski programs and activities.
 Provide project support to the veski chief executive officer and contribute to the development of business proposals, communications, events and resource allocations. Work at this level may require the ability to investigate, interpret or evaluate information.
 Contribute to resource and budget planning within the veski operations and events space.
 Provide administration and support services to all veski programs and activities on a day-to-day basis, including data management, spreadsheets, timetabling and stakeholder and supplier liaison.
 Coordinate various programs and activities including but not limited to exchange programs; international travel, conferences and workshops; liaison with stakeholder communities to arrange activities.
 Oversee the promotion of the veski programs and activities via the veski website, regular bulletins including a quarterly e-Newsletter; & other communication channels.
 Management of the updating of veski promotional advertising and marketing materials.
 Provide high level administrative support to veski including management of veski email enquiries, preparation of minutes, agenda and supporting paperwork, preparation of correspondence, provision for booking travel, venues, accommodation etc.
 Ensure appropriate records are managed, monitored and maintained.
 Liaise internally to manage human resource activities of veski including casual staff and volunteers, and organize visiting veski residences.
