Cancer Council Victoria has been leading efforts against cancer since 1936 through world leading research, prevention, support and advocacy programs. Relay For Life (Relay) is the world’s largest fundraising event for cancer, with events raising more than $6 million annually in Victoria alone. Relay is an overnight event in which participants walk or run relay-style at venues throughout Victoria. Relay events are community owned and volunteer led, supported by Cancer Council Relay Coordinators.

About your opportunity
We are seeking a Relay For Life Team Leader to join the Events unit. Your role is to:
• Lead a team of Community Fundraising Liaisons to successfully implement Relay For Life events across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with a range of stakeholders
• Provide guidance and direction regarding operational and logistics for Relay for Life events

All about you
We are looking for someone with:
• Degree qualifications preferably in business streams or equivalent experience with demonstrated skills in managing a team of relationship-driven individuals within the not-for-profit or a commercial sector
• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to mentor, develop and empower a high performing team
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and effectively manage relationships with varied stakeholders

This full-time continuing position provides a salary within range 64,747 – 72,797 pa plus superannuation, annual leave loading and the benefits of not-for-profit salary packaging and a meal entertainment card.
