About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity to create compelling written content in line with the marketing and communications strategy to increase Family Life’s profile, extend our reach and grow our audience and increase our independent income. You will provide support to the Marketing Manager with content for advocacy, fundraising, service promotion, innovation, enterprise and impact. You will also provide support in preparing media statements, writing press releases, online content, and editorial projects as required. You will thrive in developing engaging content for integrated marketing campaigns across social, digital and print. You will also compile, edit and prepare annual report content, case studies, blogs, white papers, fact sheets and other publications ensuring strong alignment with Family Life’s brand and strategic priorities
About You
We are looking for someone with:
• Tertiary qualifications in Journalism, Media, Professional Writing, Communications or similar.
• Demonstrated excellence in story telling: knowledge of what makes and how to tell a compelling story through a number of mediums, both online and offline.
• Demonstrated experience at content development, copy writing, copy editing and professional proofing.
• A sound understanding of SEO principles and requirements. • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills with proven ability to develop and nurture relationships.
• Non Government Organisation or Not For Profit experience desirable.
