The Organisation

Family by Family is all about family led change by linking families to change the things they want to change. Its mission is to find, coach and link families to develop each others’ goals and connections. The coaching aspect of the service motivates, inspires and problem-solves with families.

The Role

You will be part of a team of two coaches working to identify, train and support families to help other families bring about positive change and achieve goals. The family coach role will:

• Provide group training and facilitation
• Run family coaching sessions providing inspiration and leadership
• Problem solve and network with other community groups and service providers
• Plan and manage events including site visits
• Risk management

Skills Required

You are energetic, inspirational and empowering. You can demonstrate a track record of facilitating positive change as well as being a great networker. Professionally you will require:

• Tertiary qualifications in social work or similar discipline or equivalent work experience
• Experience with group facilitation and the delivery of workshops and group training
• Experience with families and young people with a knowledge of family support theory
• High level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to use mandatory report guide and decision trees
• Knowledge of NSW Child protection laws and systems, a current WWCC and a NSW Drivers Licence
• Computer literacy and experience ideally with Apple products
